APA presented materials from the LBJ archives, beginning with phone conversations leading up to LBJ's "Heal the Nation" speech, delivered on November 27, 1963, to a joint session of Congress. Additional LBJ phone conversations follow the speech. Then, three more oral histories from The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza. Dr. James Carrico was part of the medical team that tried to save President Kennedy's life. Malcolm Kilduff, the Assistant White House Press Secretary in 1963, made the announcement of the President's death at Parkland Hospital. Don Hewitt, the creator of "60 Minutes," recounts the assassination from his perspective as a journalist that day.

American Perspectives presented three oral histories hear from people who were in Dallas on that fateful day. Interviews of Jim Wright, former U.S. Representative (D-TX) (1966-1989), Robert Strauss, former Democratic National Committee Chairman, and Winston Lawson, a retired FBI agent, provided courtesy of The Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza.
