ROBERT F. KENNEDY: A C-SPAN RADIO HISTORY SPECIAL

40 years ago, Sen. Robert F. Kennedy (D-NY) was shot at point blank range by Sirhan Sirhan moments after he had addressed his presidential campaign supporters at the Ambassador Hotel in Los Angeles, CA on June 5, 1968. Robert Kennedy died early morning June 6, at the age of 42.

RFK Oral Histories
C-SPAN Radio looks back at the political career of Robert F. Kennedy. You'll hear his brother, Sen. Edward Kennedy (D-MA) deliver the eulogy at his funeral mass in New York City. You can also listen as New York Times reporter Tony Lewis interviews RFK in December 1964, shortly after he resigned as Attorney General and was elected to the U. S. Senate. And we'll talk with Evan Thomas, editor-at-large of Newsweek and author of the book Robert Kennedy: His Life.
