BOB WOODWARD & CARL BERNSTEIN INTERVIEWS

Over two weeks in January, APA broadcasted exclusive interviews with two of the most controversial and influential journalists of our time: Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein. In her new book Woodward and Bernstein: Life in the Shadow of Watergate, award-winning journalist and professor Alicia Shepard looks at how living in the shadow of Watergate has affected the two Washington Post reporters. These exclusive interviews were conducted by the author while working on the book, and are being broadcast for the first time. Alicia Shepard also joins us on the program to talk about her first access to never-before-seen archival materials including the Watergate papers the pair sold to the University of Texas for $5 million, more than 175 interviews, and the revelation of the biggest secret in journalism history - Mark Felt as "Deep Throat." Woodward's "Deep Throat" papers are being added to the University of Texas collection on January 18.
